Emergency major planned maintenance is required to be performed a at the Meekatharra Globalstar gateway in order to prevent a future unplanned outage.

The work involves an update to gateway timing systems that the entire gateway relies upon for operation.

During the specified time, the planned work will affect all duplex voice, data, packet data and simplex/SPOT services in the Meekatharra footprint.

This work requires a total outage of the gateway affecting all Globalstar services in the footprint for at least 4 hours. This 4 hours comprises 1 hour of maintenance work and 3 hours to return the gateway to operation.

During regular maintenance, faults have been identified requiring immediate attention to prevent possible extended outages in future.

The fault requires emergency maintenance and this will result in an outage to all Globalstar duplex voice, data and packet data services in the Mount Isa footprint for at least 2 hours, and likely extending beyond this time depending on action required and the outcome of system restoration.

Maintenance work will be performed as quickly as possible to restore services as soon as possible.
